Harran Castle is located within the borders of Harran district of Şanlıurfa. It is possible to reach the area, which is approximately 50 km away from the city center, by private vehicle. You can reach it with your private vehicle via Akçakale Şanlıurfa Road/D885/E99.
Harran Castle was built by the Umayyad caliph Marwan II. According to some sources, the Sabii Temple is located in the area where the castle is located. The castle, which has a total of three floors, was built in a rectangular form. There are towers with a dodecagonal shape on each of the four sides of the building.
You can visit Harran Castle free of charge during the day.
